On uploading 101,000 words…

I know I promised a post about Ghana but until that comes, I offer to you a collection of 101 absurd, hilarious, poetic and beautiful images.

I should mention that I know nothing about photography. Hélène’s great eye and my new Nikon D40 (with a spectacular 18-200mm VR lens) made the process painless. As a bonus, the pictures have tons of EXIF tags (including GPS coordinates). Below is one of my favorites.

All 101 images can be found at http://yanokwa.smugmug.com. Check them out and let me know which ones are your favorites.

You got a new Nikon D40? Nice. I just got a new Canon Digital Rebel XTi… too bad we can’t share lenses yo.

*sigh*

You picked those pictures very well.

Can we go back?

Please?

Being pointed at and called “obroni” every ten seconds hasn’t gotten annoying, yet.

How did you get GPS coordinates into your EXIF tags???

GPS traces with timestamps are collected by a small GPS unit I carry. The camera also timestamps the image. I match the two timestamps to figure out where the picture was taken.
